Museum of the American Revolution

So I wouldn't object to a museum showing America's failures. I'd object if the presentation leaves visitors with failure as the principal explanatory framework for American history, while giving comparatively little weight to the extraordinary achievements, institutions, freedoms, prosperity, and opportunities that made the United States attractive to generations of people.

And there is an interesting irony in the immigration question: if the United States really were the deplorable society that the museum's cumulative narrative can sometimes suggest, the enormous demand to enter it would be rather difficult to explain.
