Justice Kagan -- Nationwide District Judge Orders Are Bad If She Disagrees But Are Good If She Agrees

 

In 2022, Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan,said "It CAN'T be right that one District Judge can stop a nationwide policy in it's tracks". Has she mentioned anything about the numerous nationwide orders stopping Trump's policies? (about 17 as of 5/16/2025)

Kagan made the statement at a Northwestern speech in 2022.

It can't be right that one district court, whether it's in the Trump years ... the Biden years, and it just can't be right that one district judge can stop a nationwide policy in its tracks, and leave it stopped for years — that it takes to go through the normal process.
