Stephen Smith's Explanation for Why Trump Won.

“The man was impeached twice, he was convicted on 34 felony counts,” Smith began. “And the American people still said ‘He’s closer to normal than what we’re seeing on the left.”

He also criticized the Democratic Party for what he perceives as ‘fearmongering’ tactics and then urged them to present concrete plans to earn voter support.  Smith also blamed Winfrey, in part, for a comment she made about the possibility of never being able to vote in an election again if Trump were to win.  "Who believed that?" Smith said in reaction to Winfrey's bold statement, while arguing, "This is the kind of stuff that alienates an electorate, alienates a voter."

Citing a speech made by the former first lady where she said "a vote for [Trump] is a vote against us," Smith argued that she may have "alienated" some voters."If we don't agree with you, we're against you?" he repeated during the podcast episode, while questioning, "How do you think the men felt about that? So we have to do what you tell us to do; otherwise, we're anti-you? You thought that worked? Do y'all know anything about most men? You think that's going to work?"
