NC Univ. Increases in Exp & Enrollments

NC Universities Increase in Spending and Enrollment.

Note that the Dec 2022 CIP is 1.64 times the Dec 2002 CPI

For UNC -- CH the 2022 spending is about 2.25 times the 2002 spending.   The 2002 spending adjusted for inflation and enrollment ( 2002 expend*1.64*1.2 =1.97 or approximately double).  

For UNC Charlotte the 2022 spending is about 3.4 times the 2002 spending.  The 2002 spending adjusted for inflation and enrollment ( 2002 expenditure * 1.64* 1.7 = 2.8 ).  

For NCSU, the 2022 spending is about 2.1 times the 2022 spending.  The 2002 spending adjusted for inflation and enrollment ( 2002 expend*1.64*1.25 =2.06 or slightly more than doubling).  

For Duke, the 2022 spending is about 3.2 times the 2022 spending.  The 2002 spending adjusted for inflation and enrollment ( 2002 expend*1.64*1.4 =2.3 ).  

Some of the increase for UNC_CH, NCSU, and Duke could reflect increases in grants particularly on the medical side of campuses
