I am suspicious of Perry's numbers.
edian weekly earnings rose from $581 in Q4 2000 to $596 by Q3 2001, continuing upward to over $1,100 by 2024.
The S&P Case-Shiller National Home Price Index, often used to track US home price trends, was 100 in January 2000 and reached approximately 321.45 by late 2024,
The BLS Housing Index in 2000 was 167.8 and in 2024 was 337.027 .
The BLS does housing and Case-Shiller does homes.
